PANAJI: Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that government will consider getting other places of worship in the ambit of Goa’s Spiritual Tourism on receipt of such proposals.

He further said that the MoU will explore and
showcase the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of
Goa’s temple, leveraging various marketing channels and platforms to attract a wide audience and encourage responsible tourism on temple connect digital and social network, besides engagement in other Spiritual activities for the welfare of the society.
Post the Covid-19 pandemic, people are getting attracted to spiritual and wellness tourism in a big way, Khaunte said.
The government is looking to promote sustainable and responsible tourism, he added.
“We have to change the perception of tourism that does not restrict us to sun, sand, and sea, and going beyond that we should be focusing on (promoting Goa as) Dakshin Kashi (southern Kashi). Our temples should be promoted,” the minister said.
