Goa Pradesh Congress Committee strongly demanded that Industries Minister Vishwajit Rane must use the land of SEZ for the proposed IIT project instead of using the fertile land in Sattari.
“We also warn the government to immediately cancel the transfer orders of all including a “Divyaang” lady or be ready to face the wrath of people from across the state. Vindictive actions will back fire on BJP government,” he said.
He said it is criminal act to cut almost 2 lakh trees for the IIT project to come up. The land allotted to SEZ is barren land.
“We also demand that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant should not be a silent spectator and must make his position clear on the police high handedness and proposed IIT project,” he says.
Further, he said, Congress Party will stand by people.
