PANAJI: Goa Government has notified Goa Prevention of Illegal Mining, Storage and Transportation of Minerals (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2024 with the objective of removing the hurdles for the registration of new traders dealing in the newly extracted iron ore and dumps in the state.
Traders will be allowed to purchase, export, and trade in iron ore after taking a State licence.
The existing lease holders/traders/exporters/end users also have to take the State Licence within obtain the State License within a period of 90 days from the date of commencement of the Goa (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Storage and Transportation of Minerals) (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2024, by paying a fee of Rs. 5,000.
Failure which the login credentials on Bhumija portal shall be deactivated till the State License is obtained, states a notification issued in this regards.
