PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that his Government will start a sign language course next year for people with Special needs.
“A sign language course, which was not available until now in the state, will also be offered from June 2023 at the Sanjay school for special children,’ said CM Sawant.
He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities have an inclusive, accessible, and equitable future in society.
“Government will provide 100% facilities to the Divyangs in the State. The Government will leave no stone unturned to supply requisite basic amenities to Divyangs,” he added.
Chief Minister said that Goa will change the outlook of persons with disabilities towards Goa.
“Until now, Goa has only been looked at as for the young crowd. But in future, Goa will be the destination for the disabled,’ he added.
Sawant said Government will try to work hard to make the important places, as well as some beaches, accessible to Divyangs.
“Government will provide 100% facilities to the Divyangs in the State. He said Government will leave no stone unturned to supply requisite basic amenities to Divyangs. He appealed to the organizers to make this event a permanent festival in the State like IFFI,’ he said.
