PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that Goa government has planned several programs to celebrate completion of 4 years Swayampurna Goa initiative on October 2.
“Goa government has planned several programs to celebrate completion of 4 years Swayampurna Goa initiative on October 2. PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2023 a centrally sponsored scheme providing employment and financial assistance to artisans and craftsmen will be launched in Goa on that day,” said Sawant
He further said that 18 different types of rural entrepreneurs, traditional occupations, artisan and craftsman will benefit from the scheme in Goa.
Sawant today clarified they the state government has followed due tender process in the National Games catering which was successfully bid by Thomas Cook.
“We have followed all the tender processes in the National Games Catering which was successfully bid by Thomas Cook, I don’t know why some political Parties started speaking before bid was out,” said Sawant
Stating that over 800 orders were received by women and small entrepreneurs through Chavath E Bazaar initiative within a short span, CM Sawant said that henceforth it will continue to operate as “Swayampurna E-Bazaar”.
In addition to food items, handicraft and other items will also be sold through the Swayampurna E-Bazaar”, he added.
The initiative is being operated in partnership with Swiggy Mini however govt is looking at taking on board other delivery partners, Sawant added. He was briefing the media after state cabinet meeting today.
Sawant also said that government has planned several programs to celebrate completion of 4 years Swayampurna Goa initiative on Oct 2, he added.
They will be registered, trained and given a toolkit worth Rs 15,000 free of cost. In addition hassle free collateral loans upto predetermined amount will be provided to them under the scheme, said CM.
