PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that his government is working to achieve the vision of making Goa the tourism capital of India.
CM Sawant met MD & CEO of IHCL Puneet Chhatwal, Prabhat Verma, Executive Vice President Operations, South India & International and Vincent Ramos, Area Director Goa.
“Government is working to achieve the vision of making Goa the Tourism capital of India,” said Sawant.
He further said that he discussed a strategy and road map that the Taj Hospitality Group could initiate to create job opportunities and economic activity in the tourism sector in Goa.
“Government is developing infrastructure in such a way that the coastal state will emerge as the country’s “tourism capital,” and sought investment in the key sector through public-private partnership (PPP) model,” CM had said.
Meanwhile, CM said that his government was in the process of asking people to invest under the PPP model, a public-private partnership.
“We have activated our PPP cell for those who want to invest in the tourism sector,” said Sawant.
