Panaji: Goa continued to witness hot and largely dry weather conditions, with Panaji recording a maximum temperature of 34.2°C over the past 24 hours. However, high humidity levels pushed the ‘feels like’ temperature to a sweltering 42.2°C, adding to public discomfort.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the prevailing conditions are expected to remain predominantly hot across the state. Isolated light rain and thundershowers were reported in some areas on Friday evening, offering brief relief.
The IMD has forecast mainly dry and sunny weather over the next few days, with a possibility of isolated showers around April 19. Thereafter, heat conditions are likely to persist until at least April 22.
While no severe weather warnings have been issued, authorities have indicated that discomfort levels will remain high due to heat and humidity.
