PANAJI: The Union Leader Ajit Singh Rane today said that the State government has assured to resolve amicably the issues of the Goa State Horticulture co-operation ltd workers union with regards to 7th pay commission implementation, Regulation of services among others.
The workers held protest outside the Horticulture Corporation head office at Tonca, Caranzalem. The union had given a 21-day strike notice to government last month.
Rane said that the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has assured to hold detailed discussion on their demands with all stakeholders within 15 days and arrive at an amicable solution.
The 210 member strong union has put forth several demands before the govt which include – regularization of services, enhanced wages as per 7th pay commission, temporary status to 41 contract workers etc.
Corporation MD has assured the agitating workers that their issues will be resolved within 15 to 20 days, most likely before Ganesh festival.
