VERNA: Verna Police Station has registered a case of house-breaking and theft following a complaint filed by Leonardo Gouveia, a resident of Borda, Margao.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred in the early hours of February 5, 2026, between 12.30 am and 1.10 am, at his house located at Cuelim, Ossoilem, Cansaulim. Unknown accused persons allegedly gained entry into the house by breaking open the rear door.
The accused reportedly decamped with gold ornaments and other articles collectively valued at approximately ₹5 lakh.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prisely Carvalho of Verna Police Station.
