Canacona: A house burglary has been reported in Canacona, with unknown persons decamping with valuables worth ₹50,000, police said.
According to the Goa Police, the incident occurred between 10:00 hrs on March 22 and 11:30 hrs on March 25, when the accused allegedly broke open the lock of the rear door of a house belonging to Menino Fernandes and gained forcible entry.
The culprits reportedly stole a gold-coloured wristwatch of the Citizen brand and a pair of gold earrings, which were kept inside a cupboard.
Police have registered an offence under Sections 331(3), 331(4), and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ramdas Doifode of Canacona Police Station.
