The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has shot back strongly against the critics demanding RT-PCR tests for entering Goa.
“Hundreds of Goans who are stranded outside are calling me. The High Court ahs said why Goans should be given different treatment, so we have made RT-PCR test compulsory for everyone,” he said.
He hit back at critics saying “I am not like those who say something when they are in government and something else when they are out.”
He said that they approached the High Court for relief as over 5000 pharma workers are coming everyday to work in Goa.
“How is it possible for them to get the COVID-ve certificate everyday?” he asked.
“Simply should negative certificate, negative certificate will not help, we have to also think about people’s livelihood. The pharma industry is serving entire country. We have to also think that this is affecting supply of medicines,” he stated.
