The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour, sponsored by DP World, has wrapped up its highly anticipated stop in India, leaving a trail of excitement among cricket enthusiasts. This leg of the tour was part of a global journey that has covered all eight participating nations, generating immense buzz ahead of the tournament.
The trophy made memorable stops at several iconic locations in Mumbai and Bengaluru. In Mumbai, it visited the revered Wankhede Stadium, Shivaji Park, the historic Gateway of India, and other notable landmarks such as Carter Road, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and Bandstand. The trophy’s presence in these vibrant streets allowed fans to capture the moment through photos and selfies, further fueling the excitement for the upcoming tournament.
A significant highlight of the Mumbai leg was the trophy’s appearance at the Wankhede Stadium’s 50th anniversary celebration on January 19. This event saw India captain Rohit Sharma posing with the trophy alongside cricket legends like Dilip Vengsarkar, Ravi Shastri, Ajinkya Rahane, and ICC Hall of Famers Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, and Diana Edulji.
The Trophy Tour then shifted to Bengaluru, where the Nexus Shantiniketan Mall hosted the Trophy Carnival, attracting cricket enthusiasts from all over the city. The trophy was showcased at various beloved landmarks, including Bengaluru Palace, Freedom Park, KR Market, Town Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Church Street, and Vidyarthi Bhavan. Fans in Bengaluru had the unique opportunity to witness the trophy up close, adding to the growing anticipation for the tournament.
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour has now completed its visits to all eight participating nations and will proceed to its final stop in Pakistan. The tournament itself is scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9 in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. This highly anticipated event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, featuring the world’s top eight teams competing in high-stakes matches.
