BAGA: The Bardez Taluka Civil Supplies Office has seized illegally stored petrol during a raid on a shop near the Royal Enfield showroom in Baga, officials said.
Acting on specific intelligence, a five-member enforcement team led by Assistant Director Deepa Fulari carried out the operation. The team included Inspector Rajiv Sawant and Sub-Inspectors Rohit Talankar, Sarvesh Naik Tuyekar and Sadhashiv Kandeparkar.
During the raid, officials recovered a large plastic container containing around 20 to 23 litres of petrol, along with 15 one-litre plastic bottles filled with fuel.
Authorities said the fuel was being stored and sold illegally. The process of registering a First Information Report (FIR) against the shop owner is underway.
