CALANGUTE: Acting on a complaint, the Calangute Police have raided Rudolf Fernandes’s premises for allegedly running a slaughterhouse at his residential premises.
The information against the same was brought to the notice of DSPCA North Goa that one Rudolf Fernandes has been running a slaughterhouse at his premises near Near Boa Viagem Chapel Mottant, Gaura Vaddo, Calangute, Goa and was later comminicatedCalangute Police Station in whose jurisdiction the said premises lie.
Subsequently, on March 3, at about 10.30 am, the undersigned and the Police team from Calangute Police Station and Govt Veterinary Officer, Calangute Dispensary, went where the police searched the said premises.
During the raid, the police team found about 71 tin cans of cattle fat, lots of bones and horns of cows and bulls, gas burner, hooks, knives a wok at the said premises evidencing the operation of a full-fledged slaughterhouse in the said premises of Rudolf Fernandes.
It is learned that in July 2013, the same premises were raided by the police, and a complaint was registered by then.
