PANAJI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Goa Centre, has issued a nowcast warning forecasting light to moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds across parts of the state over the next few hours.
According to the weather advisory, gusty surface winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kmph are likely at isolated places across Goa during the next three to four hours.
The IMD has also warned of short but intense spells of rain at isolated locations, which could affect visibility and lead to temporary disruptions in low-lying areas.
Residents have been advised to exercise caution while travelling and to remain alert to changing weather conditions.
Authorities are monitoring the situation, while the IMD has urged the public to follow official weather updates and take necessary precautions during periods of heavy rainfall and strong winds.
