PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has stressed the need to preserve India’s unity, saying the country must never again be divided on the grounds of caste, religion, sect, language or culture.
Recalling the sacrifices and suffering associated with the Partition, Sawant said the nation’s unity must remain paramount. He called upon citizens to stay united under the Tricolour and the spirit of Vande Mataram.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the important role of young people in shaping India’s future. He said the country’s youth would be central to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
According to Sawant, greater participation by young Indians in innovation, technology and research will be key to accelerating the country’s progress and transforming India into a developed nation.
He said the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India places the youth at the centre of the country’s journey towards 2047, making them important stakeholders in building a progressive and self-reliant nation.
