Quepem: In a tragic incident, a 10-month-old infant, identified as Viraj Vadar from Agramorod, Paroda, was brought dead to the Primary Health Centre in Quepem on April 18.
According to initial findings, the child is suspected to have accidentally fallen into a bucket filled with water at his residence, leading to death by drowning.
Police personnel visited the health centre after receiving information and carried out an inquest panchanama. The body has been preserved at the South Goa District Hospital in Margao for medico-legal procedures.
Further investigation into the incident is being conducted by LPSI Deepa Deykar of Quepem Police Station.
