PANAJI: Power Minister Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar stated that Pernem was the “largest taluka in Goa area wise” despite the 1.4 crore sqm of land transformed there being “negligible” in comparison to the size of the taluka. He claimed that because it is “under improvement,” the converted area is “negligible.”
“Pernem was the “largest taluka in Goa area wise” despite the 1.4 crore sqm of land transformed there being “negligible” in comparison to the size of the taluka,” said Dhavalikar.
He further said that Mandrem and Pernem will transform, with the construction of a major airport like Manohar International Airport, a sports city, a casino area, and new five-star hotels.
“Whether they want it or not is up to Pednekars,” he stated.
When questioned about his position on the matter, he responded that it was the same as MGP’s. “I’m a party animal, end of story. Since it is on hold, I am unable to comment, Davalikar informed the media.
Responding to a query, Dhavlikar said, the Tamnar power line project is on. “The Tamnar Project is on but I cannot say when it will be completed. As and when it Goa will benefit,” Dhavlikar said.
