DHARBANDORA: Two persons were injured after a Kadamba Transport Corporation bus allegedly collided with a CNG Super Carry rickshaw near PTI Mine at Mallarimol, Codli Dabal, on July 20.
According to Curchorem Police, the accident occurred at around 2.10 pm when the bus driver, Ratnakar Gaonkar, a resident of Santona, Codli, was allegedly driving in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Codli Tisk Dabal towards Mallarimol village.
Police said the bus allegedly dashed into an oncoming CNG Super Carry rickshaw, causing it to overturn onto its right side. The rickshaw driver, Navin Wagmode, a resident of Azad Nagar, Margao, originally from Dharwad, Karnataka, and co-driver Samson Nirua sustained injuries in the accident.
Curchorem Police have registered a case against the bus driver, and further investigation is being carried out by HC Shrikrishna Naik.
