PONDA: Kundaim Villagers cleared road blockades at Manaswada and opened the road for traffic after Authorities assured to widen the Kundaim bypass road.
The locals want Manaswada Road as a service road for their safety.
The NH officials urged locals to give some time to widen the narrow bypass, and thereafter the bypass would be two-way.
It may be recalled that last Sunday, the locals had blocked the NH traffic passing one way from Manaswada Kundaim and diverted through Kundaim bypass from May 1 next day following a Horrific accident reported at Manaswada Kundaim junction where a container truck overturned and damaged roadside wine shop, fell on two cars and five bikes, causing significant damages to vehicles and properties to the tune of several lakhs.
Seven occupants in the parked vehicle luckily escaped without injuries.
