PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the Law and Order situation in the State is in control.
“Law and Order situation in the State is in control; suspected persons found moving during odd hours are rounded up and thoroughly interrogated for their involvement in any crime. History sheeters, Ex-convicts and suspects are checked regularly and are kept under surveillance,” said CM Sawant
He further said that preventive action under Sections 107, 109, 110, Cr. P.C is initiated against the individuals and sent to the concerned Magistrate for proceedings as per law to deter them from committing any cognizable Offence.
In regards to serious crime, Sawant said that most of the cases are detected, and all possible efforts are made to detect remaining undetected cases.
“In most of the undetected cases, no clues are available as the culprits took precautions not to leave any trace evidence behind. Further, after any house burglary or vandalism and desecration of religious structures crime is reported, services of Finger Prints experts and Dog squad are utilized, Special Teams are deputed in Goa and outside Goa,” he added.
Sawant further said that dump data of the locality is analyzed. CCTV footage is checked in and around the locality, and accused persons with similar modus operandi are interrogated.
