BETHORA: A fire near Dattgad-Bethora destroyed a Thar SUV.
Reports state that at approximately 9.30 p.m. on Monday, Imran Salim Jalekar’s jeep was parked in front of the residence.
The sound of a tyre bursting woke up the locals at around two in the morning. The family attempted, but was unable, to use water to extinguish the fire.
A adjacent electrical pole’s cables were also harmed by the fire.
The SUV had already been completely destroyed by the fire when a firefighter from the Ponda fire station was called in.
It is believed that a short circuit in the vehicle caused the fire to ignite.
