MAPUSA: Anjuna Police have arrested one Gujarat native accused person for illegally possessing drugs.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, information was received regarding one accused person storing drugs for supply purposes in a Villa at Marna, Siolim. Hence a warrant was obtained from him, and a house search was conducted, during which a total of 475 Ketamine vials of a total quantity of 4.7 litres, along with 270 grams of Charas, was found hidden in the house.
The drugs were immediately seized under the panchanama and taken into custody.
The raid was conducted in the evening at around 4 pm.
The accused person has been identified as Mr Jayrajsingh Kiritsinh Chavda, age 33 yrs N/o Ahmedabad, Gujarat, presently residing at a Villa in Chaudi Waddo, Marna, Siolim, Bardez Goa.
An offence U/s 22(b). 20(b) (ii) (B) of the NDPS Act has been registered, and the accused person is presently lockup.
The raiding team consisted of Lpsi Sneha Sawal, PC Ramdas Harmalkar, Arjun Sawant, Sakharam Salgaonkar, and PSI Sahil Warang.
SP north Nidhin Valsan IPS informed that this is the biggest seizure of Drugs this year.
Further investigation is in progress with Pi Prashal Dessai of Anjuna PS under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi.
