Cuncolim: The Cuncolim Police have registered an FIR against a man accused of pouring boiling water on a stray dog in Velim, causing severe burn injuries to the animal.
The complaint was filed by an animal welfare volunteer, following which police initiated swift action and registered the case.
Authorities have invoked provisions under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, along with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
