PIRNA: Former Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) president Manoj Parab has once again become the subject of political speculation after sharing a Ganesh Chaturthi photograph featuring a gathering of his supporters in Pirna.
Parab posted the picture late on Thursday along with the message, “My home, My Ganpati, and my Revolutionary Family.” While the post did not mention any political decision or future plans, it has generated discussion about his possible return to active politics.
The latest development follows a cryptic Facebook post shared by one of his supporters a day earlier. The message appeared to suggest that Parab could be preparing to make a political move, adding to speculation surrounding his next step.
The renewed attention comes at a time when Goa’s opposition parties are working on different political combinations ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. The Aam Aadmi Party and Goa Forward Party have recently announced their Goa First alliance, while the Congress and the RGP group headed by MLA Viresh Borkar are reportedly exploring the possibility of an electoral arrangement.
Parab was previously a key public face of the RGP and Goa’s regionalist political movement. He later relinquished the party leadership and announced his withdrawal from politics, following which he largely stayed away from the political spotlight.
So far, neither Parab nor his close associates have confirmed that he intends to return to electoral politics.
His latest interaction with supporters, however, has renewed questions about whether the former RGP leader could re-enter the political arena as parties begin positioning themselves for the 2027 polls.
