MAPUSA: Mapusa police arrested one for assaulting a stall operator in Mapusa market.
As per SDPO Mapuca in a swift action Mapuca police arrested Ajju @ Azarudhin Havangi Shaikh for his involvement in assaulting vendor at Municipal Market, Mapusa which had occurred today.
A complaint was lodged at police station that at Municipal Market Mapusa accused Mr. Ajju @ Azarudhin Havangi Shaikh over personal grudge abused, assaulted complainant Panchuram Nisad of Colvale who put stall at Mapusa market with metal bangle causing injuries to him and threatened complainant with dire consequences to kill
In this respect Mapusa Police Station immediately registered FIR U/Sec 504 , 324 , 506 (ii) IPC and investigation was taken up .
After commission of crime accused fled from the scene accordingly team was formed who collected the
intelligence in respect of accused involved and successfully detained accused at Morod, Mapusa,
Bardez, Goa.
Further accused was arrested in crime. Police are interrogating accused and are in process of recovering weapon of assault.
