CURCHOREM: Curchorem Police have registered a case following a complaint by the mother of a minor girl, alleging that her daughter was kidnapped from Cacora, Curchorem, on September 22.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred at around 7.30 am, when an unidentified accused person allegedly took the minor girl, whose identity has been withheld, from the lawful guardianship of her mother.
Police have initiated an investigation into the alleged kidnapping and efforts are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the girl’s disappearance and trace her whereabouts.
Further investigation is being conducted by LPSI Sonal Gounkar of Curchorem Police Station.
The identity of the minor has been withheld in accordance with legal and ethical norms protecting children involved in such cases.
