PONDA: A scooter rider sustained grievous injuries after an electric bus allegedly rammed into the rear of his two-wheeler near Nivaant Hotel at Kundai, Ponda, on September 22.
According to the complaint filed by HC 6841 Suraj Gaude of Mardol Police Station, the incident occurred at around 8 am when the accused, identified as Pradeep Mardolkar, a resident of Navem, Dharbandora, was driving a Kabamba electric bus from Bhoma towards Kundai.
Police said that on reaching near Nivaant Hotel, Kundai, the bus driver allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner and collided with the rear side of an ongoing Honda Activa scooter.
The rider of the Activa, Bhagwan Wagh, a resident of Neura, Tiswadi, sustained grievous injuries in the accident.
A case has been registered by Mardol Police, and further investigation is being conducted by HC 6841 Suraj Gaude of Mardol Police Station.
