PANAJI: After a fake WhatsApp account of him was made and circulated, Union Minister for State for Power Shripad Naik filed a police complaint.
In a social media post, Naik said, “We have discovered that a fraudulent WhatsApp account is in circulation, posing as me and reaching out to individuals with unauthorized requests.”
“Please be aware that I am not the sender of any such texts. The police have already received our report, and the offending party will face severe consequences. The union minister continued, “Remain vigilant, and if you receive such messages, please disregard them and report any suspicious activity.”
