PONDA: Narkasur Contest returns to Kavlem after a gap of 10 years.
President of Kavlem Yuva Manch Ojas Kavlekar, along with members Vijendra Kavlekar, Kapil Naik, Prajyoth Naik, Gurudas Naik and .panchmemver Yogesh Kavlekar, said they are happy Happy to announce Vijayostav Programme.
Ojas said in 1981, with the former sarpanch of the Kavlem Magan Kavlekar and the support of locals of Kavlem, the Narakasura competition was organized. The village people worked together to make this competition successful from 1981 to 2011.
Panchmember Yogesh Kavlekar said during this 30-year period, the competition was held under a different organization name.
“First, it was held under the name of Shanta Young Stars and then under Kavale Gramastha. Due to some unavoidable reasons, this competition was stopped. And now, after 11 years, this competition is once again taking place in Kavlem under the name of Kavle Yuva Manch,” he said.
This competition will be held on the road in front of Sri Shantadurga temple on 23rd Oct. For this competition, the first prize is Rs. 25,000, the second prize is Rs. 15,000, the third prize is Rs. 10,000, the best Krishna is Rs. 2,000, and the best instrument is Rs. 3,000. The competition will be All Goa, and it will start at 10 PM.
Besides, Akashkandil and other competitions are also organized.
