*Decides to provide financial assistance to Institutions, Poor and Needy Individuals

CANACONA: Stating the Chaudi Ganeshostav Samittee has more than 45 years of tradition to give financial assistance to many of the organizations, the committee has now decided to provide essential goods to educational institutions and poor and eedy family of Canacona.
A new committee for Chaudi Ganeshostav Samittee is elected with Deepak Gaonkar Desai as President in a meeting held recently at Government primary School, Chaudi. Ajay Phaldesai is the Secretary, and Rajesh Naik is elected as the Treasurer of the new committee.
Canacona Municipal Council Chairperson and Chaudi Ganeshostav Samiitee member Ramakant Naikgaunkar informed that this year the Mandal has decided to provide essential goods to the educations institutions, poor and needy families in Canacona, amongst the various decisions taken in this meeting. Financial Assistance will be provided to St. Theresa of Jesus High School, Chaudi,
Katiyayani Baneshwar Vidyalaya, Kindlem-Ponsulem , as well as will provide assistance of Rs.15,000/- to each of the families of 20 houses built under by Shram-dham concept. Rs.51,000/- has been earmarked for the Gaushala to be built at Mone in Khotigao village.
Gaonkar further informed that while providing financial assistance to motorcycle pilot late Santosh Komarpant, Premanand Naik Gaonkar, Dhananjay Desai from Chawdi, it was also decided to provide financial assistance to Teophilo Fernandes who was injured in the accident.
Earlier, a grant of Rs. 1 lakh has also been given to an organization Centro Promoter de Instrusauam at Char Rasta running Shri Mallikarjun Viyalaya’s a Primary School, High-School and Higher-Secondary School at Char-rasta.
