MARDOL: MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar today said that the next Chief Minister of Goa will be the MGP.
“The next CM of Goa will be from MGP. We will form a corrupt free government in the state and serve the people; We can’t go with any other party. However, we were in talks with all other parties except BJP,” said Dhavalikar in a public meeting
He charged the BJP with trying to poach MGP and Goa Forward candidates.
“Though TMC is a new party, our own survey has shown that TMC’s acceptance is growing in the State; the decision on CM face will be taken by January 15, next month,” he added
Sudin’ Dhavalikar speaking further demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the public works department (PWD) job scam.
“This government is involved in recruitments scam,” he said.
Chief minister Pramod Sawant had ordered an inquiry into the PWD job scam and kept on hold the recruitment process pending report.
“We welcome the chief minister’s decision to order an inquiry into the PWD job scam, but it is not enough. It is a big scam and it should be investigated by CBI,” he said.
Dhavalikar blamed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for failing to initiate action against the Minister involved in sex scandal and added that the tainted Minister resigned only after the matter reached the Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai.
