MARGAO: TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane said that his department has initiated an inquiry against the SOPO contract given to the SGPDA in Margao without tendering and due process.
“It has come to my notice that the Sopo contract was given to Margao SGPDA without tendering and due process,” said Rane.
He further said that the department will inquire into this matter, and strict action will be taken against the Member Secretary and others.
“As per my understanding, there is a high court order for tendering of Sopo, and the action taken by the Member Secretary is in violation of the high court order,” he added.
The Minister said that his department believes in transparency and supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aim of working in complete transparency.
