CANACONA: Chatrpathi Shivaji Maharaj has stopped Muslims committed atrocities against Hindus by establishing ‘Hindvi Swarajya’, said Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar.
He was speaking at Shivsourya Yatra held in Canacona on the occasion of 350th year of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s.
The yatra with the statue of Shivaji Maharaj on a Rath is flagged off by Canacona MLA And Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar at Betul-Fort in the presence of Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Regional Coordinator Sri Vivek Kulkari and Department Minister Mohan Amshekar.
Speaking after the flag-off ceremony, Speaker Tawadkar said, ‘this Shivshourya Yatra is a big attempt to awaken the Hindus brethren. By installing the ‘Hindvi Swarajya’ Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has stopped the atrocities committed by Muslims against Hindu community.
“Shivaji Maharaj has also struggled to keep the Bharatiya customs and traditions alive and helped to enable Hindu brethren to live with dignity. That is the reason why Shivaji Maharaj is honoured by the entire country,” he said.
Speaking further Tawadkar called on the Hindu brethren, particularly youths to walk in the steps of Shivaji Maharaj.
“If we want to protect ‘Bharat Desh, Hindu Sanskruti’ there is no other option, besides following Shivaji Maharaj’s ideology,” he said.
The Shivshourya Yatra organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal was attended by several Shiv Premis from Canacona, as the Yatra with Chatrapati Shivaji’s Statue on a Rath, and participants on various vehicles passed through Khola village, Agonda village, and reach char-rasta.
Taking along with the yatra on Manohar Parrikar Canacona Bypass Road , the Shiv Shourya Yatra was welcomed by Women performing abhisekh/arti at Shri Nirakar Temple Maxem.
This year also marks the 60th year of the establishment of Vishwa Hindu Parishad as well as the 40th year of the establishment of Bajrang Dal, ‘Shiv Shourya Yatra has been organized across the country.
The Shisourya Yatra later headed to Barcem on way to Cuncolim later in the day.
