BICHOLIM: A 35-year-old man sustained head injuries in a road accident that occurred near the Sesa Gate, Dhabdhaba in Pilgao on Tuesday evening.
According to a complaint filed by Head Constable Shyam Polekar of Bicholim Police Station, the accident took place at around 7:35 pm on June 17. The accused, identified as Sandesh Santosh Parwar (24), a resident of Deulwada, Pilgao, was riding a Hero Splendor motorcycle (GA-04-R-1673) in a rash and negligent manner when he collided with an Activa scooter (GA-04-J-6002) coming from the opposite direction.
The impact caused the scooter rider, Prasad Laximan Sawan (35) of Pilgao, to suffer head injuries. He was immediately shifted for medical attention.
A case has been registered against Parwar for rash and negligent driving, and further investigation is currently underway.
