BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant criticised the Congress and other opposition parties, alleging that they are confused about what to oppose and are targeting the government’s infrastructure projects and welfare schemes.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Bicholim bus stand, Sawant said the opposition has no constructive agenda and urged people not to fall prey to what he termed misleading claims and opposition tactics.
He also said the newly inaugurated Bicholim bus stand is an interstate bus stand and that the government plans to connect bus stands with rural areas to strengthen interstate and regional connectivity in the future.
Sawant said Bicholim is witnessing rapid development and the government will undertake master planning for the city. The plan will focus on future infrastructure requirements, including underground cabling, IT networks, sewage infrastructure and overall planned development.
The Chief Minister said the masterplan is aimed at ensuring that Bicholim is prepared to meet the needs of its growing population and future expansion.
