FATORDA: Fatorda Police have registered a case against a motorcycle rider for allegedly driving rashly and negligently, resulting in serious injuries to a pedestrian.
According to police, the incident occurred on July 18 at around 8.21 pm when Aditya Jadhav, a resident of Gavliwada, Fatorda, originally from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle from Arlem Circle towards Fatorda Junction.
Police said that upon reaching opposite Gehlot Super Market at Gavliwada, the rider allegedly hit pedestrian Zubin Ornelas De Miranda, a resident of Borda, Fatorda, while he was crossing the road.
The impact threw the pedestrian onto the road, causing serious injuries to his left leg, face and other parts of the body.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by HC Sanjay Sawant Dessai of Fatorda Police Station. Further investigation is being carried out by HC Sanjay Dessai.
