PONDA: Future of 43 candidates has been closed in ballot box and result would be declared on 7 May.
The voters turnout for PMC Election for 13 seats the poll percentage was 74.66 percent.
In 15 Member PMC the two candidates Vishwanath Dalvi and Vidya Punalekar are already elected unopposed from Ward 7 and Ward 13.
All eyes on poll results of Ward no 1 and Ward 5 where two Son of Agriculture Ministers Ravi Naik in poll frey. Besides this tough battles expected in other wards.
The prestige of BJP as well as Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik at stake with two of his son Ritesh Naik Contesting from Ward 5 and Roy Naik contesting elections from Ward 1. The poll result will decide their future in politics.
Though election on not party lines The BJP ,MGP and Congress Leader Rajesh Verenkar expressed confident of winning candidates backed by them.
Male turnout was 5306 and female turnout was 5347 thus total10653 took part in voting with percentage was 74.66 percent. Highest voting percentage reported in Ward 1 where voters turnout was 81.03
The counting would be held on 7 May at Administrative Building at Tisk Ponda.
