Panaji:President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday left for Delhi aftwr his two-day visit to Goa.
During his brief stay, the president attended the function to kick off celebrations for 60th Goa Liberation Day, at Dayanand Bandodkar grounds. He also paid tributes to martyrs of Goa’s freedom struggle.
The president during a visit to Mahalsa tenple also blessed a couple who tied the knot today.
“It is not often that the venue of a wedding in a temple coincides with the itinerary of the President at the same time and day. But this is what happened when President Kovind visited the Mahalasa Temple, Goa today. He blessed the newly weds, making it all the more memorable,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Mrs Sawant and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari were presnt at tge Goa International Airport to give a send off to the preaident.
