PANAJI: Congress leader Rahul Mhambare has demanded that the Goa government convene a meeting with the Opposition to discuss key issues concerning the state ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Goa.
Shah is scheduled to visit Goa for the Western Zonal Council Meeting on September 7.
Mhambare said the government should take the Opposition into confidence and hold discussions on matters affecting the state before the high-level meeting.
He also raised concerns over Goa’s land policies and the approach towards industrial development, calling for greater scrutiny and discussion on decisions that could have long-term implications for the state.
