The RPF (Railway Protection Force) today registered complaint against social activist and anti-coal protestor Abhijit Prabhudesai and other agitators alleging that they encroached on the rail tracks at Arrosim.
The RPF said that the protest resulted in delaying of trains.
Hundreds of people from across Goa had gathered near the railway tracks near St Lawrence church, at Arossim, Cansaulim on the eve of Liberation day to observe a 12-hour vigil to oppose coal handling at the Mormugao port and transportation of coal via the railway line.
The protestors refused to vacate the tracks for nearly four hours.
