CURCHOREM: The Guardian Angel parishioners, particularly youth and children, performed the bible scenes re-enacting the last suffering of Jesus Christ including the crucifixion on the cross.
Large number of devotees were gathered in the church premises to pray and participate in the service which was conducted by Bro. Princeton Da Gama and Bro. Walvyn Fernandes in the presence of Parish Priest Fr. Vital Miranda and Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Jovier Baretto on Good Friday morning.
Later in the evening after the Eucharistic celebration, the crucifixion scene was re-enacted followed by a procession where a large number of devotees participated reciting rosary along with the confraria members carrying the images of Jesus Christ and Mother Mary, wending its way through the main road before returning to the church.
During the sermon, Director of Biblical Centre, Old Goa, Fr. Mariano D’Costa narrated the silent sufferings of Mother Mary for the sake of humanity and urged the faithful to keep trust and remember her in all their sufferings. “surrender all your bad addictions to the feet of Jesus Christ while kissing His image and pray not to become a obstacles to others instead be a helping hand.” said Fr. D’Costa.
