PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has requested all health officer of Directorate of Health Services to reach out to the grassroot level to ensure awareness on vaccination is conducted.
HM Rane held a virtual interaction with all the Health Officers of Directorate of Health Services in presence of Dir. DHS Dr. D’Sa, Dr. Kedar Raikar, Dr. Utkarsh & Dr. Palekar.
During our interaction Rane informed them of the steps being taken by the government in this fight against Covid-19 and instructed them to reach out to the grassroot level to ensure awareness on vaccination is conducted.
“Steps to be taken due to onset of the monsoon season;Beds with oxygen to be made available in all PHC/CHC. Provision for the same to be done simultaneously.” said Rane
He further instructed the officials to conduct surprise visits at Rural Medical Dispensaries & Sub-Health Centres and to ensure we carry out maximum number of tests at CHC/PHC, so that the testing percentage remains intact.
Rane also informed them on building another hospital dedicated for Paediatrics to deal with Covid cases, in addition to the one at GMC, with state of art facilities and that the expert committee is working towards the same.
“We have asked all the Health Officers to get in touch with us in case they have any suggestions. We have assured them that the government headed by our CM Dr. Pramod Sawant will provide the required support,” he added
