PANAJI: St. Andre MLA Viresh Borkar distributed school books and stationery kits to over 250 pre-primary and primary students studying in Government Primary Schools across the constituency on Wednesday.
The distribution covered schools in Bambolim, Siridao, Goa Velha, Dando-Goa Velha, Sulabhat, Neura, and Mandur. Each student received school books along with essential stationery items, including notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners.
Speaking on the occasion, Borkar said every child deserves equal access to quality education regardless of their financial background. Parents and teachers welcomed the initiative, saying it would help reduce the financial burden on families while encouraging students as they begin the new academic year.
