PORVORIM: Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte has condemned the alleged incident involving police personnel and a hotel in Porvorim, describing the reported conduct as “condemnable” and stressing that appropriate action must be taken if wrongdoing is established.
Khaunte said he had already conveyed his concerns to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and expressed confidence that the matter would be properly investigated.
He said the focus should remain on the allegations and on ensuring accountability wherever any wrongdoing is found.
Highlighting Porvorim’s growing importance, Khaunte said the constituency has evolved into a progressive urban-rural hub, housing key institutions and infrastructure, including the High Court, Secretariat, government offices and residential areas.
