CANACONA: The Rath Yatra of Shri Rudreshwar Deva from Harwale Chaisha, the adorable deity of Bhandari community in Goa, is circulating throughout Goa from January 6 to January 27, 2025.
This Rath Yatra will arrive at Canacona Taluka on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
The Rath Yatra will arrive at about 11 am in Canacona and the Rath will stop for 10 minutes near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Memorial near KTC Bus-Standf, Chaudi for Darshan of Rudreshwar Deva to the devotees in Canaocna Municipal area and then depart for Shree Gopalkrishna Temple at Mokhard-Bhatpal in Shristhal.
After ritualistic Puja Naivedya and Mahaprasad at Gopalkrishna Temple, from 2.00 pm onwards, 10 minutes for darshan at each station of Partagal, Khavat, Karpanas, Painguinim, Agas, Loliem, Shelim, Polem, Galgibaga – Kolsar – Talpona, Muthal, Ghodkamolem and Pasal. The yatra will stop for rest at Shri Gopalkrishna Temple at Mokhard at 8 pm. After that Naivedya, Puja Prasad, Mahaprasad and “Swarrudresh” will be performed with a program of soft music.
On the next day at 10 o’clock in the morning, the mass puja will be completed by the devotees and then the chariot of Sri Rudreshwar will be handed over to the devotees of Quepem taluka in a procession.
President Venkatarai Naik, Executive President Yashwant Naik, Reception Committee President Sachin Naik, Devosthan President Raji Bhandari, Convener Janardan Bhandari have requested the participation of Hindu brothers and sisters of Canacona taluka, citizens of different communities, representatives of different organizations, temple officials, other dignitaries and devotees in large numbers.
