Sahil Dhuri, Prasad Patil, and Basappa Madar have been selected to represent the West Zone team in the prestigious competition, which will be conducted under the aegis of the Board for Veteran Cricket in India. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad from May 2 to May 4, 2026, at the Grand Arena, with matches set to be played under floodlights.
Among the selected players, Sahil Dhuri stands out as he has been entrusted with the captaincy of the West Zone side. A seasoned cricketer and former Ranji Trophy player, Dhuri brings valuable experience and leadership to a squad that features a blend of seasoned performers from across the region.
The West Zone lineup includes players from multiple cricketing centres, with representation from Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and Mumbai, making it a balanced and competitive unit. The tournament will also feature teams from North Zone, Central Zone, East Zone, and South Zone, ensuring a high level of competition.
The event is expected to showcase several former Ranji Trophy players who have represented their states and zones, highlighting the depth of experience within veteran cricket in India.
