VASCO: In a significant initiative to support housewives under the Griha Aadhar Scheme, sanction letters were distributed to 97 beneficiaries at an event held at the office of Cortalim MLA Antonio Vas in Manxer, Cortalim in the presence of Merciana Vas, Zilla Panchayat (ZP) member for Cortalim Constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Vas encouraged more residents of the constituency to apply for the scheme and benefit from the government’s support to housewives. He expressed gratitude to the government for expediting the scrutiny of applications and providing timely assistance under the scheme. Vas also urged the beneficiaries to promptly submit the required documents at the Women and Child Development (WCD) office in Vasco to ensure smooth processing.
Merciana Vas, ZP, highlighted that many government schemes remain underutilized in the constituency. She emphasized the importance of organizing such events to raise awareness and encourage more people to take advantage of the available schemes.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Eddie Fernandes. This initiative is expected to further promote the welfare of housewives in Cortalim by providing financial assistance under the Griha Aadhar Scheme.
