PANAJI: Minister of State (MoS) for Power Shripad Naik today said that he was satisfied with the portfolio allocation.
Naik was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at Panaji.
“I am fully satisfied with MoS portfolio. The people were expecting that I should have been allocated to higher ministry because seniority is not wrong but I am happy with whatever I got,” said Naik.
He further said that he got the ministerial position only with the blessings of Goans.
“I am going to work on the development of Goa through this ministry. I will take all kinds of steps for further development of Goa in future. Everyone must come together and take Goa forward,” he added.
Naik said that he was thankful to the people of Goa for his victory with a huge margin in the Lok Sabha elections.
“I have been now appointed as the Minister of State for Power and this is all due to the blessings of the people. All these years, the people have strongly stood by me and shown their faith in me and I have been the minister for various departments in the past as well.
“I want to tell the people that I will continue to work for them and use my position for their benefit,” said Naik.
