OLD GOA: BJP National President Nitin Nabin said the announcement of the Goa Assembly elections could come anytime in January, adding that around two months remained for the party’s polling preparations. He said BJP workers would reach every household to inform people about the work done by the BJP government in Goa.
Nabin said the party’s objective was not merely to form the government but to build a government under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s leadership that would sustain the state’s development momentum and pave the way for a developed Goa.
Invoking former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s legacy, Nabin praised his simplicity and integrity, saying Parrikar had enhanced Goa’s reputation across the country and set an example of ethical politics. He also criticised what he described as attempts by some people to conduct politics through “anarchy.”
Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nabin alleged that the Leader of the Opposition focused on creating chaos rather than discussing development.
He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development initiatives had left Congress leaders with little ground to challenge the government.
